Gatlinburg 2012

Vow Renewal

Our vow renewal day, March 27th. We renewed our vows at Cupid's Chapel of Love. It was a very nice intimate ceremony and a beautiful day for a wedding. Steffanie's mom and my folks shared this day with us.

Gem Mining

One place we can never miss on our trips to Gatlinburg is the gem mining place. On this visit, it was Colin's garnet stone that was put into a nice ring setting for his mom.

Deer Park Exotic Petting Zoo

There were lots of interesting animals to see and feed here including camels, emu and a zonkey. The boys enjoyed picking up chicks and goats, which is better than what Colin was picking up from the goats 8 years ago!

The boys were initially disgusted with the sloppiness of the camel feeding. But once you got used to their velvety lips and gentle nature, it wasn’t so bad.

Ripley's Aquarium

Up close and personal with the penguins.

Parrot Mountain

It's always a good time until the bird poops on you.

Go-Karts

I knew the only way to get Steffanie on the go-karts was to tell her "It wasn't that bad" and that she would enjoy it. "Oh yeah, the turns are gradual, you'll like it!" Well, at least the boys and I enjoyed it.

Magic Show

The Wonders of Magic show by Terry Evanswood was probably the highlight of Liam's trip. He put on a great show and Colin and Steffanie were both called out as volunteers for his acts. Colin even got to keep his magic rope trick. These pictures were the only pictures he allowed the audience to take during his performance.
Good Eats

A couple of definite stops on our visit are Huck Finn's Restaurant and the Pancake Pantry.

We had a downpour of rain on our last day in Pigeon Forge. So we took the opportunity to go indoors, do some fudge and taffy shopping, and get an old time photo.

Immature? Perhaps. But still a classic picture location... for me. Check our 2004 Gatlinburg page towards the bottom. It's still funny.
